My Costumes
Household Haku
Because I'm a lazy dork, I'm just going to c&p what I said over at Rylee's.
What, you may ask, is a Household Haku? It’s a costume of the character Haku from Naruto that is made up entirely of items that where laying around my house XD
[Picture]
Materials:
Mom’s old karate jacket
Tight long-sleeved turtle neck
a strange red scarf thingy (belt)
3 straws (needles - I wish I had 6 ;_; )
olive/tan hakama-like pants
square scrap cloth (bun cloth)
scrap cloth (bandana)
4-5 hair ties
This was a fun costume to put together despite it’s lack of material originality. Obviously there are some errors with the costume (the belt/scarfy thing should be green, not red; jacket should be teal, not white), but as mentioned before, this costume was gathered with materials from around my house and probably took me perhaps 30-45 minutes to complete. Despite it's rushyness, I think it's a rather good mergance of stuff, ne? ^^ My only regret is that I couldn't find anymore straws laying around to have both hands full of 'needles' ::sighs::
Now why did I choose to be Haku? Because he’s too damn bishie (in the literal sense) for his own good. He not only looks like a girl (and practically dressed like one once) but his seiyuu is female o_o And what happened in eps 16-19 was extremely, extremely moving TT____TT I won’t go into details for those of you who haven’t seen it, but I can tell you one thing. It made me CRY. And for any of you who know me personally, you know I NEVER cry. Plus the fact he’s about the only character in Naruto I could pull off if I were ever to cosplay officially. And his hair *_* Dude, I love his hairstyle.
Anyway.. the lovely fanart is by someone who I think goes by High Noboru. All I know is that I worship his/her work. *_* His/her site is in Japanese, but it's easy to navigate.
